Our Services
Customs Clearing & Forwarding
The end-to-end management of moving goods across international borders. Clearing handles the complex legalities, documentation, and tax payments required by customs authorities, while forwarding coordinates the physical transportation, routing, and warehousing of the freight itself.
Local & long distance cartage
Cartage is the transport of goods over short distances, typically within a local city or metropolitan area. Long-distance transport (often called line-haul or freight) involves moving cargo across vast regions, multiple provinces, or across international borders.
Warehousing & distribution
Warehousing and distribution are two interconnected supply chain activities. Warehousing involves the secure storage and management of goods until they are needed, while distribution covers the strategic logistics required to transport and deliver those products to retailers or end-consumers.
SARS Examinations
A SARS (South African Revenue Service) examination is a physical or documentary check of imported or exported cargo to verify compliance with the Customs and Excise Act. Clearing agents facilitate this process by coordinating with customs officials, presenting documents, and ensuring cargo is available for inspection.
ITAC permit Applications
Our services includes the application for the full spectrum of export and import permits in South Africa for regulated goods. From ITAC import licences and CITES wildlife permits to phytosanitary certificates, our team handles every application and renewal.
Cross border trade
Cross-border trade descriptions are essential declarations used by clearing and forwarding (C&F) services to classify, tax, and track goods. They dictate customs duties, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, and prevent cargo delays.

ATA Carnet clearances
The ATA carnet is similar to the temporary import. The only difference is that the security deposit is lodged in the country of origin. The ATA carnet system eliminates the need for customs declaration, by giving instant recognition and acceptability by customs officials. The ATA carnet system is more expeditious than the temporary import.
Personal effects Clearances
If you are an SA resident who is returning after an uninterrupted period of at least 6 months then you qualify for DUTY FREE clearance on your used household & personal items. You will be required to fill out a DA304 form and have this attested by customs to allow a duty free clearance.
Auditing Import and export shipments
Auditing import and export shipments involves systematically reviewing your cross-border transactions and Post Clearance Audit files to verify compliance with trade regulations, ensure accurate duties, and avoid severe customs penalties or shipment delays.
HS Code determinations
Customs use HS Codes to classify goods that are imported and exported. By knowing the HS Code of a product, traders can:
- Correctly determine what duty is applicable to their imports.
- Pinpoint restrictions and prohibitions regarding a product.
- Conduct an accurate cost analysis on trading with a certain commodity before committing to a shipment.
